If you don't know what Tetris is then... umm... you must be very far removed from everything even remotely related to gaming. In which case, how the heck did you even find this video? :o Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at the 1987 Spectrum Holobyte release of Tetris, a game originally designed in Russia in 1984 by Alexey Pajitnov and Vladimir Pokhilko, with Vadim Gerasimov responsible for the original program code. While it may seem like doing a video on Tetris might be redundant by this point in time, I'm hoping my experience with this version of the game in contrast to other versions helps shed some light on some features or technical details which might not be as well known as others. Besides, Tetris was SUCH a huge deal when it was brand new that I feel it shouldn't be excluded just because it's such an old and extremely well known concept. :B ------------------------------------------ Additional Information and Corrections: * I have Anatoly over at DOS Nostalgia to thank for helping confirm a couple details about Resident Tetris. The version of Tetris with the missing plane on the opening and the altered backgrounds is actually the SECOND release, while the one with the planes and military stuff is the FIRST release.
