Remember, "frustrating" does not equal "bad"... it just means it's not my cup of tea. Also, please excuse that I'm still recovering from my cold. :P
Anywhoo, today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion, the sequel to the original Dangerous Dave, developed by Id Software and published through Softdisk's "Gamer's Edge" subscription service in 1991.
This game isn't so much bad as it is beyond difficult, given that there's a trio of seemingly innocuous mechanics which culminate together to require that every level be beaten with nothing less than absolute perfection. You make one mistake, you start the entire level over. Even Battletoads isn't THAT harsh... o_o

Additional Information and Corrections:
* If you'd like to grab all of the Dangerous Dave games from GOG, follow this link:

* Something important to mention: Level 7 has hidden passages instead of doors. It's easy to figure this out on one's own, but it can trip you up for a little until you realize this is going on. :P
