Today for Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look back at Heros I: The Sanguine Seven, an indie platformer made in much the same vein as platformers done by Apogee software, except it was originally developed and self-published by Jeffery Fullerton in 1993, with a cut-down and spell-checked free shareware release published by Safari Software following in 1994.

* One of the more annoying things about the game I neglected to comment on is that the moving platforms are only a single tile big and move very quickly. For the vertical-moving ones, this isn't too big a deal, but for the horizontal-moving ones they can be exceptionally difficult to get your hero to land on or step onto, especially since they have a tendency to push you back off when you try to walk onto them.
