Trying to be hip and cool in the mid 90's? At least make sure you're not driving your customers away...
Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at Zoop, a minimalist action/puzzle game developed by Hookstone Productions and published through Viacom New Media in 1995.
While the gameplay itself is mostly fine, this game suffers from a lot of poor design and marketing decisions and was rapidly forgotten about once the massive amount of hype for it died out. I honestly though this was going to turn into more of a forgotten gem video but the deeper I dug the more the game made me feel like it didn't want me playing it! D:

Additional Information and Corrections:
* One particular Panel de Pon clone, "Pokémon Puzzle League", happens to be one of the extremely few games I dare say I've mastered and would gladly accept a challenge from any opponent willing to risk obliteration! It's too bad it runs really poorly emulated and there's never been any decent versions of this style of gameplay since. :/
* Here's a gem from the readme.txt file: "Zoop (tm) has been developed as a Windows 3.1 application. Although it may be run from DOS, running it from within Windows is the preferred method." ...reminder: THIS GAME ONLY INCLUDES A DOS EXECUTABLE! o_O
