Video Originally Released: August 13th, 2011 ------------------------------------------ What some people might not realize is that there's a bit of a difference between a "Retro Styled Game" and a "Modern Retro Game". A "Retro Styled Game" is one that's been made to look and feel like a retro game, but actually isn't, nor could it ever be one because of the kinds of graphical things it's pulling off; it just LOOKS like one. Good examples would be Minecraft or Geometry Wars. VVVVVV is a "Modern Retro Game", one that plays on modern systems but adheres very well to the limitations of a particular kind of console or computer from the earlier days of gaming. The other benefit too is that VVVVVV is freakin' awesome! Well, consider this. VVVVVV was a part of the third "Humble Indie Bundle", and exactly 372,386 copies of that bundle were sold, and that's of course not counting all the people who bought the game on its own before this bundle was released.
