At least the mouse doesn't auto-centre anymore... :P
Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, a rail shooter developed and released by LucasArts in 1995 as a sequel to their original Rebel Assault game. This is a weird case where the raw gameplay itself is greatly improved over the original... but everything else suffered in the process in some way as there's minor issues EVERYWHERE.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Here's a link to GOG if you want to grab a copy of this and the original Rebel Assault game to play:
https://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_rebel_assault_1_2/?pp=91dfde1d6e005e422f64a59776234f1f4c80b5e4
* One thing I forgot to mention is that because there's virtually no split paths anymore, save for in the sixth mission (shocker, I know, gotta make sure that demo is nice and shiny) and a VERY brief divergence at the end of the seventh mission, you also can't harm friendly targets, so don't worry if a wingman is in the way of your blasters, just fire away! :B
* For those curious, the game's built-in auto-fire rate at the default game speed is about 3 shots a second... yeah...
