Hey! Did you ever want to manage your own railroad? Dealing with routing trains, setting up signalling stations, managing stocks and bonds with a broker and spending half the time waiting for things to happen while you look longing at your finance records?
...n-no?
WELL, today's Ancient DOS Game is Railroad Tycoon, developed by MPS Labs over at MicroProse, published in 1990, and is a simulation game that lets you experience everything in the paragraph above! :D
...yeah, this is definitely an acquired taste, but for what's here it's at least fairly well done, though the UI could've used some more work.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* ...and, as predicted, 2K has since taken down the download link. If it shows up again at some point in the future, please let me know so I can add it back in!
* Actually, turns out the download link I originally posted above was for the DELUXE version of the game, not the very original! The difference is that there's more maps to play on and the graphics got a bump up to SVGA quality! ;)
* One of the features I didn't elaborate on were Station Upgrades. Every station you plop down can be equipped with multiple upgrades to allow it to function better. Most upgrades pertain to train building and maintenance, or storage of excess commodities.
