This is about as new of a game as would be permitted to be considered an "ancient" DOS game. :P
Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at Happyland Adventures, a freeware indie platformer made back in 2000 by Johan Peitz under his Free Lunch Design banner, though nowadays he operates a small gamedev studio in Sweden known as Apskeppet.
There's not a whole lot to say about this game itself, except it has considerable significance since it was one of the more popular titles developed with the Allegro Game Programming Libraries, thus the latter half of the video dives a little deeper into some of the inner workings of the game or ways in which it inspired Gemini's own game development efforts.
