Being a programmer, this game has a sort of special meaning to me. Even though it's technically flawed and extremely minimalistic, it feels very much like something I would've made on my own accord when I was much younger, given the proper tools to do so.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Alas, Ben Marty's website originally at
members.tcq.net/benmarty/TechnoVenture.html doesn't seem to exist anymore, thus for a download of the shareware version of the game the best place to go for now is the DOS Games website:
https://www.dosgames.com/game/technoventure
* Actually, something more recent Ben Marty has been hard at work on is his Scrolling Game Development Kit 2 (SGDK2), which is essentially a game creation system for easily making tile-based games. Certainly worth a look for anyone who wants to casually make their own stuff, or wants to learn basic game design concepts:
http://sgdk2.sourceforge.net/
* Yeah, the audio quality this week is pretty bad. Lesson learned: Don't put too much distance between you and your mic. (Especially when your mic isn't all that great to begin with...)
