An FMV driving game with VEHICLE STATS? Is that even possible? :O
Well, today on ADG Pro, we're investigating the "stats" for all of the cars present in MegaRace. An often overlooked feature is the ability to pull up stats about the various vehicles using the Spacebar or Escape keys while selecting what car you want to drive. But... many of these stats are pretty suspect... and are we even getting the full picture? Let's find out together!

* The numbers I came up with for armour were based on the recorded frame counts I needed to grind the side wall for to destroy the vehicles rounded to the nearest multiple of 100 as none of the results were far off from these and one even hit a multiple of 100 spot on!
* Something I should point out too which I neglected to in the video is that even though all the cars the player can drive have different stats, the enemy vehicles do not; they all have the exact same armour and it's often set up so that you'll have difficulty approaching the last vehicle without a speed boost and sometimes even the second-last vehicle.
* Another possible reason for the variance in how many shots it takes to defeat enemies with the Jose, Ouzbel and Ramon vehicles may be related to how multiple shots are fired within the span of a single FMV frame, but the game is actually processing the vehicles at a higher framerate than the FMV framerate, relative to the FMV framerate, so it could be a sub-frame input issue... no way to reliably measure THAT possibility though. :P
* I wanted to put some calculations on screen at the end but quite frankly, none of the numbers were panning out exactly, so I did my best to come up with estimates that made sense which don't precisely fit a single equation. There's clearly something weird going on that I wasn't able to pin down. :|
* I was having a lot of trouble saying "Ramon" during the course of the video and was constantly wanting to say "Raymond" instead... in fact I think I even slipped up once or twice during the video and didn't notice until after editing it all together. I tried to keep in mind this was a French-made game while figuring out how to pronounce everything though I wouldn't be surprised if I still got some of the car names wrong.
