Please keep in mind that I'm only being extra-hard on this game because I'm trying to prove a point about a hard lesson I had to learn myself in my early game-making days and I in no way wish this game didn't exist or that its creator never made it. :)
So... why did I need a preamble like that? Because today on Ancient DOS Games we're taking a look at Bug World, produced by Kais Dukes under his "KD Games" moniker in 1998 as a clone of ZZT and MegaZeux... yet in the process of producing this game nearly EVERY aspect of the game development process was done wrong! :O
When I realized just how badly this game turned out, despite being a complete experience with few ACTUAL programming bugs, it made me think back to my own early gamedev efforts, thus why this video is more a look at why its many elements have been done wrong as opposed to just being an overall review.
