The episode in which it becomes very apparent that I've never watched Dr. Who... (Hey, if anyone knows a legit way to watch the original series nowadays, let me know!)
But yeah, OverKill is an easily forgotten 2D shooter that's actually not that bad, but is a bit quirky and not very long or difficult. It also borrows a bunch of its planet names from other popular space-related things.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Here's a quick link to the RGB Classics webpage where you can download the full version of OverKill:
http://www.classicdosgames.com/game/Overkill.html
* Turns out there's ANOTHER boxed release I didn't know about by "Zoom Software" a full year prior to the B&N release! Just something to keep in mind for anyone looking for boxed, physical copies: There's more than one! Although, that said, the Zoom Software release, despite being a big box and everything, is ONLY the shareware version of the game. :P
* I know I don't actually show much footage of the various weapons beyond the single shot, fast laser and ring laser. Because you tend to upgrade your weapons really fast in this game in order to survive it was hard to capture any decent footage of the other weapons.
* Changing skill levels has no effect on your score or the quantity of enemies, so the only reason you'd want to play on a higher skill level is just for the heck of it. :P
