Not every Pro video is going to result in success... but that doesn't invalidate the attempt! ;)
Today for ADG Pro, Gemini's taking a crack at hacking through the password generator for the old DOS game Electranoid to try and discover how it works so that custom passwords can be generated with whatever scores, lives, and level values are desired!
Now, even though the final result here was a failure, a lot of useful info was definitely uncovered for anyone who wants to continue the attempt!

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Here's the link to my raw, unformatted notes I took while attempting to break through the passwords. It's a bit messy and won't read correctly unless you use a fixed-width font:

* A particular fan of the show, Foone Turing, managed to disassemble the password generating portion of the program and built his own Python scripts for encoding and decoding the passwords! If you want to skip the challenge and just break through the game's passwords right away, check out the following link:

* I mentioned using a square root to figure out how many bits were possible with a particular number, but you're actually supposed to use a binary logarithm (often referred to as "log2") to do this, as I was getting the two mixed up. That said, log2(16) and sqrt(16) are BOTH equal to 4. :P
