I still swear that there were birds chirping in the background despite it happening through my computer's MIDI support. :O
This game is absolutely massive as far as its story is concerned and is based on the popular Riftwar Saga written by Raymond E. Feist. It's also incredibly challenging, meaning you won't simply sit down and beat this thing in a day or two... especially when you're me and suck at strategy games. :P

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Here's the link to the Good Old Games website if you'd like to purchase a downloadable copy of the game:

* When I say, "even typical RPGs don't have this much story to go through", I'm referring to the overall length of the game, not the length of time I spent getting through the first chapter. Obviously most RPGs have more than 5 hours of gameplay. ;)
* There's quite a lot of things I didn't touch on, such as the barding system, lockpicking, teleportation, and more, however, many of these extras don't really factor into the early-game so I mostly only know of their existence and not how they work. Save for lockpicking since you're introduced to that VERY quickly.
* There's also these special chests you can find that are opened by answering a riddle. The first one you come across is fairly easy, but they can get pretty tricky later on, and while a brute force approach may work when you only have three or four letters to deal with, just wait until you start seeing seven... :P
* So... how many times did I say "massive" in this episode? ^_^;
