Yeah, I was gonna do some fractal animations but making them at 1080p 60 FPS takes a LOT of computer power and I didn't have enough time to render enough of them to make for an interesting video, so I instead, this filler video is dedicated to a very basic computerized card game I used to play all the time in the early 2000s called "Ants", which turns out is actually just an example program for the Peter System, a graphical programming environment targeted towards children. The game's very basic with some balancing issues but still surprisingly fun to play! ------------------------------------------ Additional Information and Corrections: * Turns out the Peter System was actually itself released as freeware not too many years ago. What's weird about this is the main Gemtree website was never updated to reflect this, but the website with the full download has links to the author's personal site and kinda feels like it was actually made by him, even though the author of this site is technically anonymous. In any case, the free download of the Peter System can be found here: http://www.breatharian.eu/Petr/en/ * The link to the original Gemtree Software website still works too, though I don't recommend trying to purchase the software as the purchase gateway doesn't go into secure mode right away: http://www.gemtree.com/ * Some virus scanners may show the Peter installers as infected. This is likely a false positive and related to a lack of file reputation due to the age of the software and its relative obscurity, similar to what I went through when releasing the unfinished build of Text Mode 2000. Me personally, I use Avast, up to date and everything, and it does not detect any issues with the Peter installer. * This game is actually based on a card game from the Might and Magic series called "Arcomage", though I know little about that as I've never played any of the Might and Magic games myself. * I also forgot to mention that the game does indeed identify itself as "Freeware" on startup, so distributing the game in a compiled state is perfectly legal, which partly explains how I ended up with it originally, but I still can't remember which website I originally got it from. :P * I'll see if I can get the fractal animations going for the first Season 5 filler. ;) ------------------------------------------ Pixelmusement Website: http://www.pixelships.com ADG on Pixelmusement: http://www.pixelships.com/adg Alphabetical Index of ADG Episodes: http://www.pixelships.com/adg/index2.html
