Believe it or not, it took awhile for DOS games to start using the mouse for actual gameplay, as not everyone had one, unlike on a Mac where it was pretty much mandatory. Today's Ancient DOS Game, Shooting Gallery, is one of the earliest examples of mouse-driven gameplay and while there's not a lot of depth to this program it was certainly a fun little diversion for its time.

* One little detail I forgot to make note of: In the 1st and 4th rounds of gameplay, in order to get the set bonuses you have to shoot down an entire set WITHOUT shooting anything else! You can miss and still get the bonus but if you shoot something from a different set it will cancel out the bonus potential for the set you were previously shooting at.
