Fuchsia is a weird word... :P
Today's Ancient DOS Game had to be switched out at the last minute due to emulation issues, thus Gemini's ending the year taking a look at Battle Chess, a more animated take on classic chess gameplay developed by Interplay and originally published by Electronic Arts in 1988 on Amiga computers, with the DOS version being published by Interplay themselves in 1989.

* If it seems like moments in the video are skipping oddly, I cut out a LOT of the thinking time, both my own and the computer's, just to help keep the pace of the video flowing. :P
* The "special" move pawns can do to capture a piece is referred to as "en passant". The simplest way I can describe it (even though this is not how the rules are written) is if someone moves their pawn two spaces from its initial spot and moves it in such a way that it's directly beside an opponent's pawn to the left or right, the opponent can now elect to move diagonally behind the pawn that was just moved to capture it "in passing", however, this can ONLY be performed immediately as the very next move. If the opponent's next move is not to do this, then they forfeit the opportunity.
