It's still interesting how humble Duke's beginnings were before he went all 3D and macho. It's also interesting how many people think this game uses 256 colour graphics, when in fact, save for the title sequence, it's pretty much all 16 colour VGA with heavily modified palettes. :B
Also, this game would've played much better if you could see more of the stuff around you. :P

Additional Information and Corrections:
* Due to legal reasons, several early Duke Nukem games are currently unavailable from typical download sites such as GOG and 3D Realms. From what I understand, this was SUPPOSED to only be temporary while minor legalities were sorted out, but they've been down for quite awhile now. :/
* If you would rather get this game from the Duke Nukem 3D CD, keep in mind that it has to be the original release. The Atomic Edition does NOT come with the first two Duke Nukem games! D:
* I know I didn't really talk about the powerups (except for the Cloaking Device) but that's because there really aren't that many, nor do they do much. There's a crystal that can give you a hint if you bring it to a pedestal and a rapid fire powerup so you can hold the fire button down. :P
