처음에 사회생활 시작했을 때, 메일 이렇게 저렇게 멋있게 쓰려고 노력을 많이 했다. 구조화해서 쓰는 방법 뭐 어쩌고 저쩌고... 헤드 라이너는 한 줄에 깔끔하게, 불렛포인트는 중요한 숫자 위주로. 형식에 맞춰서 쓰려고 하니까 겉으로는 멋져 보이는데 내용은 텅텅 빈 그런 메일. 지금 돌아보면 굉장히 부끄럽다.  그 때 만났던 중요한 은사가 해준 말이 있는데.. 어려운 말 어렵게 하는 것, 쉬운 말 쉽게 하는 것은 누구나 하는 거고... 어려운 말 쉽게 하는 게 실력인데 너는 그렇지 못하다고... 겉멋만 가득하다고. 이상한 거 배워왔다고.  이 말이 내게 참 중요했다. 그 말 덕에 참 많은 생각 그때부터 했다. 그 이후로는 글 쓰든, 메일 쓰든, 사람들이랑 말 하든 뭘 해도 어려운 것 쉽게 말하는 게 몸에 배게 하려고 노력도 많이 했고. 찰리 멍거 영상 보면 딱 그 생각이 들었다. 아마 회사 보스로 만났으면.. 비슷한 말 해주지 않았을까 싶다.
